Mark's updated toy ...

Mark is in surgery right now getting a new Internal Defibrilator.  It's hard to believe that almost 6 years have passed since we started down this crazy road.  It was the morning of July 9th, 2005 when he went into cardiac arrest.  And then respiratory arrest.  And then died.  And then received three really GOOD hits from the EMT's External Defibrilator that brought him back to life and a two week stay at Overlake.  God bless the folks in the Bellevue Fire Department, Overlake Emergency Department, the ICU and the Cardiac Care Unit!

We talked about many of those past events this morning as he was prepped for this latest round of surgery.  Thankfully Mark does not remember anything from the week leading up to it, his time at the hospital or even too much about the day he was released.  I wouldn't want him to remember any of that anyways .... I wish that I didn't remember any of it!  But today is a different story.  Today is a simple procedure to put in a new Defibrilator that will take up less room in his chest and should have a battery life of 10 years.  So we applaud technology and all of the medical staff here at Overlake. We thank the Lord for continuing to care for us and bless us.  And we are headed to Burger Master as soon as Mark is cleared for release .... no one deserves a milkshake more than that kid!!!!
