does anyone REALLY eat turnips?

Week #17: Baby weighs as much as a turnip - 5 ounces, with a length of 5 inches from head to bottom.

Last week baby was the size of an avocado and that was much more fun.  We had guacamole!  But honestly, does anyone REALLY eat turnips?  I had a hard time finding one at the grocery store.  And then I had to Google this root vegetable to familiarize myself with it ....okay, so folks down South like turnip greens.  I knew that.  But does anyone actually seek out, look forward to and want to eat the turnip itself?!?!?
